Rachel is the collective catalog of the European Network of Judaica and Hebraica Libraries. |
Partner of the Bibliothèque Nationale de France.
The European Network of Judaica and Hebraica Libraries (REBJH) was created in July 2004 by the Alliance israélite universelle Library, the Paris Yiddish Center-Medem Library and the Séminaire israélite de France library (SIF).
Its aim is to further the preservation and dissemination of Jewish heritage documents (written or recorded), an integral part of the European cultural heritage.
Its goal is to become the reference tool for accessing Judaica and Hebraica collections worldwide, and to encourage cooperation among all the institutions safeguarding Judaica and Hebraica documents, without regard to religious or cultural adherence.

The network combines the activities of the three founding libraries :
To become a member of the Network
Any institution working in the preservation and dissemination of written or recorded documents of cultural heritage, whether these documents are completely or partially devoted to Jewish culture, is invited to join the network.
